Teens Who Took Photos Of Themselves Having Sex Indicted For Producing Child Porn

The level of insanity involved in this decision is simply not comprehensible by a sane man. The judges should be fired; the lawyers should be disbarred; the cops should be tossed off the force. I'd love to say it is astounding to me that such mindnumbing stupidity could even occur, but, the fact is, I have grown rather accustomed to this sort of mindlessness, here in the end times of the American ideal.

"Well, it's legal for you to do it, but not legal for you to take pictures of it." Say what? In the immortal words of South Park's Johnny Cochrane, "It does not make sense."

Amusingly, I predicted something like this way back when the CDA was being proposed. Being young and stupid, I assumed such a case, of teens filming or photographing themselves and then posting it, would reveal the inanity of most Comstock laws and break the back of the prudes. Ha ha! Silly stupid me! Thinking any kind of logic or reason would have a place in American jurisprudence. No, it seems that under American law, it is perfectly fine for two late adolescents to be branded as sex offenders for life because they engaged in fully consensual, fully legal actions with each other.

Ah well. Eat the bread and watch the circus, people, this decadent former republic can't last much longer. Enjoy it while you can.
